Motorola has finally created one of it’s notoriously rugged phones for Verizon Wireless. If there is one thing that the Barrage definitely is, it’s very rugged. It is by no means a small phone, having measurements of 3.78 inches by 2.09 inches by 0.96 inch. Also being a bit angular, the phone has a nice oversized hinge, which solidly opens and closes shut, something that most flip phones lack nowadays, solidity. It also features rubber panels which lie atop the side, front, and rear plastic body plates. Even still, it features a 3G internet connection, and weighs in at a surprisingly light 4.2 ounces. With an external screen said to brightly display 65,000 colors, this phone lights up when active, and is even said to be able to take on a full dunk into water.
If you’re getting this phone because you tend to drop and destroy your previous phones, then maybe you (and your phone) would benefit from a handsfree earpiece, instead of always holding the phone. This phone is also very suitable for construction workers with it’s push-to-talk feature, so having it in a holster where it is easily tucked away and accessed is a must. If you’re not too worried about it (did I mentionit can be DUNKED into water?) then you could just customize the outside by adding a skin to it’s rigid casing. But any phone, no matter what the durability, can benefit from having a case or cover added to absorb some shock of various accidents, so customize your new Motorola Barrage today!
